And the new baby is a …
Well, once again those crazy myths about the heartbeat, and even my own bad guessing at our baby gender was wrong … We are pleased to announce we are going to have another GIRL.
I love it. I love the idea of two little girls, two little sisters to play and share clothes and dolls and have tea time together. Not that a boy wouldn’t be a good little tea time mate, but you know … two girls, how fun.
And as soon as I can, I’m going to get my hands on some of those cute little baby leg warmers called “baby legs.” Yes, there’s already new stuff out for girls since I had Ella. Steve’s in for some trouble isn’t he?
On a serious note, of course an ultrasound is for more than just finding out gender, so I was really praying that everything would look healthy. I was starting to be concerned about the size of my belly too lately – it just doesn’t seem that big. People are shocked when I tell them I’m about six months pregnant. But everything looks good. The baby is 1 lb and 3 oz and she measures just fine for everything and all her little parts look nice and healthy.
Ella didn’t know quite what to think of it all. She was very quiet and confused looking in the ultrasound room. But she did perk up to tell her Grandma that “it’s a girl!.” And she even more excitedly told Grandpa that we’re having a girl and she’s having a boy. Guess she wanted to be part of the fun.
So, here’s your first look at Ella’s little sister:
I may have another thumbsucker on my hands!
