Happy Anniversary

Five years ago today Steve and I were married at Palm Spring’s oldest inn, Casa Cody. It was a small wedding with just friends and family and we filled the whole inn with our favorite people and had an awesome day. Guests walked a short distance from their room to the courtyard where we were married by a fountain, with a mariachi band playing nearby. They sipped on Ice T while the sun went behind the mountain just in time to cool down the 100-degree day for our ceremony. Afterward, guests walked another short distance to the other inn courtyard for a reception. They were greeted with margaritas and appetizers while we cruised around the block in a horse and carriage. Then we dined on an awesome Mexican feast followed up by an assortment of “wedding” cheesecakes. And then of course there were more margaritas and a lot of dancing. And some people even ended up in the pool that night. It was such an awesome day. And an awesome weekend. I think we made a good team planning that wedding. And we’re an even better team today.

Happy anniversary! You look lovely, and the setting is as beautiful as I remember. However, my favorite part of the photo is Jeff scratching his nose. Can’t Dawn keep that man under control?!?!?!

Erin, your wedding was an absolute blast. We had a fabulous time. It was the perfect combination of sweet and fun. I miss those Palm Springs days.
