Highlights of the week

October 7th, 2010

I’m dragging this week! It all started with my reunion and staying up late and now I’ve missed a couple runs and am totally a tired mess this week. Zumba helped last night.

Anyway, Ella had a big week with school. She had her first school field trip – to a very nice farm where we went on a hayride, looked at animals, learned about an apple press and learned a little about corn, soybeans, wheat and oats. Of course it wasn’t really new to her. I imagine some of these kids don’t see tractors all that much or see soybeans growing in a field, but we’re lucky to spend a lot of time at grandma and grandpa’s farm.

Ella also had lunch bunch. Her class can stay an hour later a few times a month to have lunch with each other. So, we got out her Cinderella lunchbox and made her some mini turkey sandwiches – at her request. And she seemed to love it.

The weather was also beautiful this week so we spent one afternoon at the park and loved it.

So that’s about it. It’s different with preschool. I feel like we don’t have too much time anymore with that and Eva’s naps.

Look at those jeggings and ballet shoes. How cute are those?

Ella pretends to sell Eva lemonade at a little play booth at the park.

I’m actually in a photo … my friend April took one of us on Ella’s field trip.
