New York, New York

July 21st, 2011

Well besides the fact it’s so hot outside you could fry bacon on the sidewalk, it’s been a pretty great week. Starting with last Friday’s great datenight.

Steve and I started our night at the new winery in LaOtto. 3 miles from our house. Very excited to have something so fun built so close. What a perfect start to a night! Then we went to Wu’s Fine Chinese Dining, a new restaurant in the Fort. And it was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend it. And if that’s not enough we then quickly stopped at a bookstore for a travel guide to New York (BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO NEW  YORK!!!) then on to see Horrible Bosses  at the theater. And it was very funny!

So New York … Steve’s work is sending him and when he suggested the idea that I go along I was all like “no, no … we have kids, we have other things to pay for, what about babysitters, he would have to do work …  bla bla bla.” But then he sent me a link to fabulous hotel he will be staying at. In Greenwich Village. And then my mom and babysitter both said they are available, and do you remember how much fun I had on my datenight? So, we are going to NEW YORK. Woo hoo. Stay tuned. It will be a few weeks before we go, but I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear about it.

That is absolutely wonderful!!!!!!! I am so happy for you! New York is amazing!!! :-) An East Noble grad, Rick Criswell, is manager of the hottest off Broadway show right now. Terry did a column on it a while back. It is “sold out” but maybe if you want go to a show Rick can somehow find tickets for you.

So excited for you guys! New York is a great experience! And jealous of your date night. I still have not been to the winery, Wu’s or to see Horrible Bosses! Living vicariously through you…that is just what I will be doing :)
